Hey korang! 👋🏼
I’m Syahrin — and this is my small corner on the internet. A place where I share my indie hacking journey, quietly, from Malaysia. I’m not really the loud or super social type. Most days, I prefer staying behind my screen, coding, planning, and thinking about what to build next. So this blog is kinda my way of documenting everything — my progress, struggles, and little wins along the way.
🇲🇾 Doing This From Malaysia
I’ve been working as a software developer for a while now — mostly Laravel, SaaS stuff, and some client projects. But recently, I started feeling that itch to build something that’s fully mine. No clients. No approvals. Just me building things I believe in.
Being an indie hacker here in Malaysia is a bit different. We don’t have the same “startup hype” like the US or Europe. But honestly, that’s fine. Malaysia’s got its own rhythm — less noise, more space to experiment. And I want to prove that it’s possible to build something great from right here, step by step.
💻 What I’ll Be Sharing Here
You’ll mostly see me posting about:
- My indie projects and how I build them
- Laravel and dev stuff I learn along the way
- Honest thoughts about work, money, and life balance
- Personal reflections — because sometimes, coding is also therapy 😅
🚀 My First Focus: BetterWeb.dev
Right now, I’m working on BetterWeb.dev — a Laravel-based SaaS to help local businesses go digital without needing a tech team. It’s my first proper indie project, and honestly, I’m both nervous and excited. It’s like a mix of “I have no idea if this will work” and “let’s just try anyway.”
☕ A Quiet Start
I’m not here to be famous or chase followers. I just want to build, share, and maybe connect with a few people who get it. If you’re also someone who likes creating quietly, welcome. You’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here, korang.
